At Celestial we like to speak clearly and honestly, that's why we explain how the material process is in our accessories.
Sometimes it is difficult to differentiate between rolled gold, gold plate and gold bath; since not only the precisiono is the variant. It is very easy to confuse pieces of rolled gold with gold plate, this is because the color, the precision and the designs are very similar. But here in we will give a brief explanation of what is what and why.
The technical explanation is as follows:
The gold plate is achieved through a technique, where by means of an electrochemical process based on gold sales, they adhere to a metal, in cases brass or silver is used, it is as if a fruit were placed in a container of melted chocolate, the fruit is bathed in the chocolate and that is why it is also known as a gold bath, and what happens is that when a jewel of this material is exposed to water, sweat or chemicals it washes away washes away interaction, it changes its tonality and that is when we see that the piece is stained and even your skin in the 2nd or 3rd wear you prefer not to use it and think that it is of low quality. But this is not due to the quality of the gold, it is because the high PH is corrosive, very acidic; even stainless steel does this.
On the other hand, laminated gold is of higher quality than gold plate, since the laminated gold technique consists of applying a standard 10k, 14k or 18k gold sheet to a metal, said sheet is applied by means of a soldering thus complete adhered to your accessory.
